THE STUDY OF THE PLANT COVER AND THE CONTENT OF TRITIUM AT ‘LAZURIT’ OBJECT OF THE SEMIPALATINSK TEST SITE

The paper presents the characteristics of plant cover at ‘Lazurit’ object including content tritium ( 3 Н): tissue free water (TFWT) and organically bound (OBT). There were 5 major ecosystem types noted: ecosystems low-hill terrain, high low hummocks, deluvial-proluvial alluvial plains. OBT in study area was found to be insignificant and, most cases, below detection limit methodological instrumentation use. Quantitative values reported for TFWT average 6 81 Bq/kg <10 37 Bq/kg, respectively, with a maximum near mouth site borehole R-1 (TFWT – 29,000±3,000 14,000±2,000 Bq/kg). At same time, ratio OBT/ (0.8) points presence recent source Н entry into plants.
